Diabetes Action Month celebrates a collective of top-notch Wellington musicians who are voicing their support for children and youth with Type-1 Diabetes. This awareness campaign celebrates musical styles of Pop, Rock, Soul, Jazz, Indie showcasing the talents of Terry Shore and the Volunterry Band, Heartbreaker -80’s covers band, Vorn, Megan McCarthy, Julie Lamb and Matthew Pender. 

The Volunterry Band features a distinctive 80’s vibe of originals with crafted catchy hooks that you can't help but shake your tail feather to.

The dynamic songstress duo of Julie Lamb and Megan McCarthy will keep your toes tapping to a short set of Motown Classics.

Megan McCarthy celebrates the release of her song “Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark” speaking to the experience of parents going through a type 1 diabetes diagnosis. Her originals set is an eclectic mix of Soul, Jazz and Pop featuring songs off her debut album.

Matthew Pender features his iconic vocals with Jazz/Funk originals complete with full horn section that brings flair to Penders electric delivery.

Wellington songwriting genius Vorn Colgan brings the Vorn band to tell tall tales about mortality, zombies and terrible puns.

Heartbreaker keeps the party going with their dynamic performance

of classic hits from the 80’s. Get your dance on with Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Blondie, Queen, Bowie and more!
